Physician's Special Program

Licensed Medical Doctors who graduated in the conventional Doctor of Medicine (MD) are qualified to enroll in the Physician's Special Program. This is an academic doctoral program that starts with  Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine (NMD), while skipping ND, then afterwards, proceeding to take either the Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or the Doctor of Integrative Medicine (IMD). However, some physicians wishes  only to take the Doctor of  Naturopathy (ND), without planning to proceed to PhD or IMD. This is a matter of two (2) options for the enrolling physician,   that they have to decide.    (Please see the Timetable below)

Other professionals in the Health occupation, with a health-related Bachelor and full Master's degree plus hospital work/ experience  are  also qualified to enroll in  the  Physicians Special  Program. They  can start  with  Doctor  of  Naturopathic Medicine (NMD), then  Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) or  Doctor of Integrative  Medicine (IMD).  However,  in the event  that  they change  their  mind  after graduating  with  Doctor  of  Naturopathic Medicine (NMD) and wishes to pursue Doctor of Medicine Major in  Integrative Medicine,  as an MD (IM) , they will have to undergo  the  clinical practice of an NMD and enroll in  the  required  number  of
Modules, including Prerequisite Courses, to comply with  the  Six (6) years  Doctor of Medicine (MD) in Integrative Medicine Curriculum,  plus  enrolling in Dissertation Writing I-II , or opting for Non- Dissertation MD (which requires further  additional Modules*). These additional Modules  will compensate  for  the  missing  modules  of  the ND  or  the  First Academic Ladder program in the Total Six (6) years MD (IM)  program. The MD (IM) program  focuses  on  the Mastery of Differential  Diagnostic  skills and Integrative Therapeutic Management of all aspects of  Family health and Wellness, from Pediatrics to Geriatrics. It has been envision by IBMS-IMSIM that graduates of MD in Integrative Medicine among  our Nurses, Pharmacist or Allied  Health  Professionals  will  function   similar  to  the  relationship   between  licensed  Physicians and  Physician  Assistant in Hospitals in other countries, aside from the fact, that  those who  have  gained an extraordinary  expertise will serve as Integrative Medical Consultant. * The  main  reason given for an expansion of additional modules is that MD (IM) is due to her curriculum equivalent to Six (6) Yrs.
